"Alphard / Dans ma gorge / Heart of Snake" is a text, voice, music piece related to Alphard by vocalist and poet Lila Lakehal. It questions the right to talk and the reasons to remain silent, in special regards with women, gender minorities and children's rights.
Alphard is the star that comes from the heart of the snake. What it said is not pretty but essential. Throat is narrow and wise. The lyrics to the piece are about harsh truths and help from the sky to tackle our very human mundane issues about equity, respect and body autonomy. Alphard spells out the truth and paves the way for freedom.
Lyrics were written in Greece in May 2025, and singing voices, sea sounds, spoken word, body percussions were recorded back there too.
For the live performance an improvised section is to be included to reflect the spirit of the day.Also included is a live performance of the Star Song, released under her music avatar Taos Omri and co-created with Alain Mail and featuring two fellow residents' take about the stars, Flavia and Ses."
