If Al Rescha is the cosmic knot, the tension arising when distinct cords are united, what might be a mundane embodiment of this concept? Can this tension be relieved? 

For earthly interconnection, a sourdough starter which originated on a small island travels across the sea on a great journey. 

The little starter interacts and acclimates, adapting to the new environment. Their very essence is a tangible meeting place of the land and water that sustain life. 

Once stabilized, the little starter is ready to take on their role as leavening agent for a dough that will come into final form after undergoing an alchemical process. 

The bread will be consumed by humans who gather with The League of Stars. 

Our coming together is a communion of souls from far flung lands and disparate lineages, these humans a microcosm of the vast universe. 

A dynamic levain 

cooperatively 

we become a living system 

creating a temporal knot 

An improvised transmutation 

never to be replicated 

all are transformed by community 

While external events tie us, I wonder what hopes and dreams we share that have not yet been voiced? What might be drawing us together in unseen realms? What mutual understanding and collective wisdom may occur? 

In being bound, may we find ways to get free. 

Al Rescha’s continuity will symbolically occur through dispersing packets of starter for anyone interested in perpetuating the life of the little starter elsewhere.
