(Des)nudo mutuo

Alresha is the knot in the loop that binds the fish in the constellation of Pisces: two forces moving in opposite yet complementary directions. The bond as a condition for the unfolding of life and as a bridge to untangle (and lay bare) that which resists movement.

This piece consists of twelve paper units that interlock and fit together without glue. Its materiality suggests an ephemeral existence. Each module is constructed according to a precise order, and all contribute to the specific tension that allows for the existence of this form and its movement: a gesture reminiscent of a star contracting and expanding in its living pulse.

By the end of this exhibition, this work will have been transformed through each interaction and may cease to exist.
