Desert & River

Egypt

November ✧ FALL

PLACE

DESERT

The residency takes place at a fascinating glamping site in the Black and White Desert, near the town of Bawiti, in a highly diverse area of the Egyptian desert, southwest of Cairo, approximately a four-hour drive. Situated within a national park, this is one of the most majestic deserts, experienced through a journey in the spirit of Bedouin travel, beneath one of the darkest skies on Earth, with zero light pollution.

Residents may arrive at Cairo Airport (CAI), where they will be welcomed and transported to the glamping site. Nights will be spent observing and studying the deep sky, exploring its vast diversity. Guests will be nourished with the best Bedouin cuisine. As a special adventure, one night will be spent within the White Desert, sleeping under the stars and visiting the Crystal Mountains.

On the return journey, we will spend a night in Giza, with an incredible view of the pyramids, enjoying a group dinner together.

NILE

Residents may arrive at Cairo Airport (CAI), where they will be welcomed and transported to the hotel in front of the Pyramids to spend the first night together as a group. All participants will dine together before departing early the next morning for Luxor to begin the boat residency. The residency will take place aboard the boat Princess Cleopatra on the Nile River, sailing between Luxor and Aswan.

Along the way, we will visit Dendera and Abydos temples, the tomb of Senenmut, Esna Temple, Gebel El-Silsila, the Temple of Kalabsha on an island in Aswan, and the Temple of Isis, observing the night sky each night.

On the last day, the group will be dropped off at Aswan International Airport (also known as Daraw Airport, ASW).

Optional extras: Return flight tickets from Aswan to Cairo can be arranged. For those who wish to visit the Pyramids, a local guide will accompany the group on a visit to the Pyramids and the Sphinx.

  • Week 2: November 10th to November 16th 2026
