Drawing from techniques within Authentic Movement and hypnotic visualisation, we will explore a divinatory practice which emerges from a simultaneous process of channelling imagery and movement. Based on a framework to build a place-based praxis in relationship to the visibility of Fomalhaut, personal significance and synchronicity can unfold overtime through the gestures, imagery and stories that find expression through this practice.

This practice is a method to conjure the liminal state of embodied dreaming that opens us to intimate connection with the fixed star Fomalhaut. Traditionally associated with mysticism and dreams, this star appears to us as a bright but solitary presence in the part of the sky known as the celestial sea. It's benefic nature grants the embodiment of our ideals and dreams, when they are harnessed towards the collective good. Fomalhaut offers inspiration, blessing and success to world-building endeavours in this light. This star speaks to us at the crossroad of the arts and spiritual practice, where it will accompany and protect us in the deep exploration and spiritual travel required for courageous visioning within our chaotic and vulnerable internal worlds of dreams and feeling. To summon contact with Fomalhaut, we must develop an intimate and regular practice through which to stay in connection to our dreams in the aspirational sense, and to express them. This movement practice is designed to support this purpose and takes inspiration from immersion in narrative threads from star’s mythic lore and astrological / astronomical data.
