The residency takes place in a peaceful and remote area, approximately two hours from Keflavík International Airport (KEF), far from the lights and noise of the city. Surrounded by extraordinary landscapes, it offers a unique opportunity to explore the night sky, experience the Northern Lights, and discover new ways of connecting with the sky and the natural world.

Upon arrival at Keflavík International Airport, participants will be picked up by the League of Stars team and transferred to the residency. At the end of their stay, they will be taken back to the airport.

The program will include guided stargazing sessions and excursions to discover Iceland’s remarkable landscapes. Once selected, residents will receive a letter of agreement with all the details about the program and their stay.

Accommodation, all meals, transportation to and from the airport, and program activities will be included, allowing residents to fully immerse themselves in the experience without having to worry about anything and just focus on their practice.

By the end of the residency, participants will have developed a deeper understanding of the night sky and the celestial mechanics, learning to recognize constellations and important stars, and discovering the science behind phenomena such as the Northern Lights.
